A while back my family and I undertook to study the book of Daniel. We wanted to do an inductive study so we purchased a Kay Arthur study book on Daniel. That study was the beginning of preparat... read more...

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Scripture

We believe that all Scripture is the written Word of the Living God through which He desires to reveal Himself and His precepts to mankind. We believe "all Scripture" includes the books of the law and the prophets (Genesis - Malachi) as well as the gospels and letters (Matthew - Revelation).
We believe all Scripture is from God directly. Paul's words in II Timothy 3:16a are translated as "...all Scripture is given by inspiration of God...". The word translated "...given by inspiration of God..." means "God-breathed" so we like to say "...all Scripture is whispered by God...". We believe that all Scripture, in their original manuscripts, are, therefore, without error.
We believe all Scripture is to be studied and used in accordance with Paul's writing in II Timothy 3:16b "...for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
(Luke 24:27,44; John 5:39; Romans 15:4; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:19-21; II Peter 5:15-16)

God

We believe in one God, Creator of heaven and earth, Redeemer, Omniscient, and Omnipresent, revealed in the Scriptures as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
We believe He does not change, He is everlasting, and He always was. Though the word "Trinity" is never mentioned in the Scripture it is described by John in I John 5:7.
(Genesis 1:1; I Chronicles 29:10; Psalm 2:4-12; Isaiah 63:7, 10-11; Jeremiah 10:10; Matthew 6:9; Mark 1:1; Mark 3:11; I John 5:7)

God the Father

God, as Father, is the Creator, Redeemer, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and all-powerful. He is Father by creation to all of mankind. He is Father by blood-bought adoption to those who come through belief in and acceptance of the Messiahship of Jesus and following of His way.
(Isaiah 63:16; Romans 8:10-16; Galatians 4:4-6; I Corinthians 8:6; I Corinthians 15:24; I John 3:2;
