BROADUS COMMENTARY WELCOME
|
Welcome to the Broadus Commentary
The Broadus Commentary will include, when finished, a layman's
commentary of the Bible as well as Bible studies, Christian-based articles on many subjects, sermons, resources, and appendices that are connected to our articles, etc.
The majority are the products of one family. We do not claim to
to be 100% correct in our understanding of the Scriptures; only the Holy Spirit is 100% correct in His understanding
but we pray that what we write here will be through His careful
guidance. The foundation on which all these writings are laid begins with the belief that the Holy Scriptures are true from cover to cover and in their original form they were the "whispered" Word of God to be "penned" by men so that we could better know Him.
This site is a little unusual in that it has three "menu areas". The
menu area across the top is stable - it is our Main Menu and stays the same on all pages. On the left-side menu,
the "About Us", "Contact Us", and "Statement of Faith" will remain, but the other items will change according to which Main
Menu item you select (from the top or the left side menus). The third "menu" is the one on the right side. This is specifically for the Bible commentary. This "menu" will show on most all pages so that you can go to the commentary at any time from anywhere. Confusing?
We hope not! Just in case, there is a sort of site-map here.
In the process of writing we may use things that we have heard or read
by others. We will do our best to reference the person, book, etc. in
bibliography of Appendix B, but we also may miss some. If you run across
something that you believe to be a quote that we have not referenced,
please let us know. We have no desire to take credit away from others;
however, please also remember that it is possible to come up with the
same thought without having heard or seen it elsewhere - especially if
both people are listening to the Holy Spirit.
There also may be abbreviations and acronyms used in many of these
writings. A list of these with their definitions can be seen in the
Appendix A & Appendix C. If you
find one missing, please let us know.
Thank you for visiting our web site!
